Dress Well: Bridal Shower Style

Zara dress (sold out; similar), Sam Edelman booties, Louis Vuitton wallet, Old necklace (similar)

I know, I know, I promised that I would post what I wore to the November bridal shower almost a month ago (I'm sure you all have been anxiously awaiting this post since then). I finally got a chance to throw the bridal shower outfit  back on last weekend, when my husband and I took a stroll over to the Presidio.

I spent weeks trying to figure out what I should wear to co-host my friend's bridal shower - it was in early November, so I wanted to wear a fall color, but nothing too dark - I didn't want to look like I was heading to a funeral instead of a wedding celebration. The shower was held in Houston, so my dress had to be light enough to wear in 80-degree temperatures while still looking appropriate for fall. Let me tell you, friends, this combination is not an easy one to find. However, when Jacey wore this dress over on Damsel in Dior, I knew I had found the one. The lighting in my pictures is a little misleading - the dress is actually a deep shade of burgundy, and not bright red. Paired with these booties, I think it's perfect for the fall.

Please forgive my pasty white legs - seeing as it never gets above 70 degrees here in SF, I will never have a tan again...ever.

Finally got me some grown up shades - thanks, Mom!

DSC_7783I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend - I had a great time bouncing around the Bay Area with my sister (pictures of her visit to come soon, of course). Now I'm only five days away from heading to Texas for the holidays! My, how the time flies!

Have a great week.
