Dress Well: Watercolor

Anthropologie blouse, J. Crew jeans, Chie Mihara wedges (on MAJOR sale), J. Crew necklace (old), Rebecca Minkoff bag

This shirt is the second of my Anthropologie grabs from their sale a few weeks back. Like I've said before, I feel like I'm stockpiling silk shirts - they're just so perfect for work. And this one has the added benefit of being so busy that you won't be able to tell when I inevitably spill food on it.

I'm sure I'll be wearing the other two things I picked up at Anthropologie this weekend, but I can't promise that I'll be able to fit outfit photos in between all the eating, laughing, and wine-drinking me, my husband, my sister, and her fiancé will be doing this weekend. Life is rough, life is rough.

Have a fantastic Memorial Day weekend.

Dress Well: Pattern and Spray Paint

Anthropologie blouse, Citizens for All Humanity jeans, Tory Burch bag (similar), Sam Edelman booties, Coach sunglasses

I think that every printed item in my closet has been given to me by a family member for Christmas or my birthday. This blouse is no exception. I am awful at forcing myself to buy patterned items, and thus 90% of my closet is filled with solid shirts, skirts, and pants. When my mother-in-law gave me this beautiful blouse for my birthday, I instantly loved it - I got to add a printed item to my closet without having to shop for it! Win-win. Paired with black pants, black boots, and a messy bun, it was the perfect outfit for a Sunday evening date.

DSC_7974Despite being under the weather all day yesterday with an unpleasant stomach bug, I still managed to make time around my naps for some quality time with my husband, siblings, and the numerous family friends that come traipsing through our house on any given day. The holidays are truly the best time of the year.

Here's hoping that tomorrow is a healthier day! Enjoy your Tuesday.
