Dress Well: Birthday Brunch

I wore this two weekends ago out to brunch for my husband's 24th birthday. The loose-fitting blouse and stretchy skinny jeans were enough to look dressed up while comfortably accommodating the extra pant size I put on around my waist during any given brunch (who can resist breakfast food?).

We had a great time brunching at Serpentine, which is a relatively new place in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak (see above) - it was delectable. Definitely consider ordering it if you ever go there.

I had a great time in Texas this past weekend, and will have outfit pictures from the trip for you guys soon. Hopefully my good weekend memories will help Monday go by faster! Have a great day.

Eat Well: Flour + Water

I was fortunate enough to eat at Flour + Water, one of my favorite San Francisco restaurants, this past Friday. I've been there three times now, and each time I've ordered the restaurant's superb past tasting, which they change weekly. I can't recommend this place highly enough - the food is simple yet delicious, priced reasonably for the quality (for San Francisco - important caveat), and the interior of the restaurant is decorated in a clean, farmhouse style that I love. See the pictures below for more details from my night!

It's a miracle I paused long enough to take this picture before diving into this delicious appetizer.

Fun measuring cup candle + best Chianti I've ever had

The only pasta dish I forced myself to take a picture of before gobbling it up - sorry!

Such a wonderful dinner! Next time you're in SF, go! Word to the wise - go on a Friday (even though we had a reservation, there wasn't a wait for a table when we got there at 6:00PM) OR get there at 4:50PM on Saturday - you'll be first in line and will get seated immediately when the restaurant opens at 5:30.

I've got another big weekend of eating coming up and I couldn't be more excited. I'll try to be better about taking pictures of what I'm eating before I eat it up...but no promises. Have a great Tuesday.
