Hey everyone! Just stopping in briefly on this long holiday weekend with some recommended reading which just so happens to be perfect for MLK Day. I just recently finished reading The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson and I think you guys should check it out. If you have any interest in American history or the history behind America's present-day demographics, I can't recommend this book highly enough. In Warmth, Ms. Wilkerson follows the lives of three people who exemplify the story of the Great Migration, weaving personal stories through academic studies through insightful conclusions. I loved the whole thing.
Per the usual, I have my wonderful, equally reading-obsessed friend to thank for putting this book on my radar. She gave me a box of books as my birthday present in 2011 and I am still reaping the benefits of it!
Also, I don't know about you, but I plan to spend my day off reading on a bench, in this beautiful San Francisco weather, enjoying this view.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
